Journal Scope

Applied Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine provides a medium for publishing experimental gerontology and clinical and social geriatrics papers. The main objective of the journal is to set up a forum for publishing, educating, and exchanging views, and to promote research and publications worldwide. The journal provides a forum for all surgeons, clinicians and health professionals to contribute their findings and help raise community awareness in different aspects of gerontology.

The journal publishes articles on aspects of human aging related to health. Topics of interest may range from multisystem aging physiology, aging biomarkers, age-related disability including cognitive, multimorbidity, novel aging populations such as ethnic and racial minorities or the oldest, global health and aging, physical and psychological functional aspects, healthy aging and span of health. Appropriate designs include observational studies, clinical trials, basic human subject biology or physiology, and research on health services.

Aim and Scope:

The principal aim of the journal is to facilitate the exchange of information in these three fields of gerontological research between specialists. Experimental papers will be published dealing with the basic aging mechanisms at molecular, cellular, tissue or organ level. The journal publishes clinical content of the highest quality through an open access platform that gives readers free, immediate and unlimited access.
