Introduction

In this issue authors discussed destined contingent observation on various topics like as - investigating actuate physeal distraction in preserving the unvolved metaphysis in osteosarcoma patient, Sohila Asoudeh Moghanloo, Mohammad Navaderi demonstrated that Study of Methylation Status in TET2 Mutations in Iranian Breast Cancer Patient and Gauri Gogna MBBChBAO et al documented Updates in Prostate Cancer: A Review on Management of Metastatic Disease.In the presented case report by Yao Weitao et al [1]., a 9-year-old female patient with Asian heritage with osteosaccoma of the diaphysis and metaphysis of her left femur which left an intact epiphysis and growth plate was not suit for the Canadell technique of physeal distraction is treated. In this report researchers followed different techniques like as surgical procedures, in that position and incision, tumor resection, physeal distraction, inactivation and re-implantation of the femur are involved, when the wound is closed they continued with postoperative management and follow-ups until bone union obtained. Hence, authors concluded that an alternative treatment of canadell technique in specified patients is physeal distraction during surgery with satisfied clinical result except for markable limb discrepancy.

Genetic mutations of TET2 gene were associated with leukemia, whereas TET1 down regulation has been shown to promote malignancy in breast cancer. Sohila Asoudeh Moghanloo, and Mohammad Navaderi [2]., explained TET2 Messene or non-sense mutations that were detected in 53% (16/30) of patients. In contrast, only 1/30 patient had a mutation in IDH1 or IDH2, and none of them had a mutation in DNMT3A in the sites which is most frequently mutated in Breast Cancer. These researchers analyzed peripheral blood samples prior to treatment from 30 patients with BC referred to The Loqman Hakim Hospital Cancer Center in Tehran. In the methods of analysis they were followed mutation analysis, Quantitative DNA methylation analyses by bisulfite pyrosequencing and measurement of 5-methyl-cytosine levels by mass spectrometry, along with statistical analysis were performed using PRISM. Differences in clinical characteristics of patients with or without TET2 mutations were assessed using the Fisher’s exact test, the Mann-Whitney or log-rank analysis. It is concluded that the epigenetic markers that TET2 gene is one of them, are promising biomarkers for breast cancer. This study highlights the potential for TET2 methylation to be an informative prognostic biomarker for breast cancer survival and sets the stage for a more wide-ranging examination of the molecular basis of this phenomenon.

Gauri et al. [3]., presented a review article discussing 5th leading cause of death that is prostate cancer and management of metastatic disease. It is known fact that prostate cancer is the most common non-cutaneous malignancy effecting men in Australia. prostate cancer management is difficult in patients with denovo presentation with patients progressing to metastatic castration resistant. From 2004, there have been numerous new agents for the disease treatment, including both systemically and specifically for bony metastasis. The aim of presented review is to give doctors a glance of these medications, their side effects to provide good overall patient care. A wide range of therapies to improve both symptomatology and overall survival the treatments are included for metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer. At last, this review enables doctors in the community to be better aware of the available medications, the related evidence behind them, with their side effect profiles allowing better care of the patients.
